Living in the past is an absolute waste of time, if only we knew how much of a waste of time it has been.
It served no purpose because we didn’t put all the good thoughts up front and use them. We did what most people do, we put all the crappy things, the negative thoughts first and then surprise, surprise we acted out on them in our life.
Does that seem a little nuts to you?
It's fresh in our minds because it's our life. It's how we've been. It's how we've lived. It's how we talked. It's our language. It's our interaction with families. It's our interaction in our workplace and how we do that. But in all of that, with all the frustrations and maybe the anger that we touched on a little bit before that you bring forward... In all of that, you really have no idea who you are. None.
You've come up with who you think you are, but what about that level where we all wear masks. There's a mask for this or this or this, but what about underneath that? Who are you? Who could you be?
Let's tackle the part of who are you, how you arrived where you are today, how you arrived at your thinking, how you arrived at your actions, how you arrived at your frustrations, how you arrived at your anger, how you arrived at pushing all those things down saying, "It's okay. I'm all right with that."
But you're not, and you shouldn't be.
It's okay to acknowledge those things, but what I don't want you to do, I don't want you to stay there.
It's not about, "Yes, I'm okay with it now. Now, I know all of that. Now, I'm all right with that. I can stay where I am."
You can't. You can't stay where you are.
I often say in workshops, “Don't tell me what you can't do. Tell me what you can, because you can.”
There's nothing. Nothing. Nothing that can possibly hold you back.
"Oh, look," you may say. "But I know somebody who's got this illness and I know somebody who's done this." You know them.
That's not you. And if it's you, don't let that stop you.
Is this going to be a bit of a challenge?
Yes, but I don't want to do what other books talk about and say all the time. It's hard, but it's worth it.
No, it's not that hard. You know, it's that part of the mind where we have produced a key, a key that we turn on and off at will.
It’s safe, it makes us think we are in control. If we're preconditioned, and we are, in the past and that's where we live most of the time and then we bring everything that we have been taught or experienced, we act out, the things that we have always said and the way we are around other people, is how we've always done it.
So, how do we know any different? Are we stuck, is this our life from now on, are we able to change it?
Yes. You need to learn how to be conscious of your thoughts, this book will teach you how.
Years ago, when I read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, one of the things he said in the book that I remember really clearly is he said, "Stand guardian of your mind," I thought I knew what that meant. "Stand guardian of your mind," I thought. Of course, I do. I know what that is. I know what my thoughts are.
Well, you don't, because you know why you don't? Because they happen on automatic.
You're not aware of them. You don't monitor them, but I'm going to teach you how in the book.
A lot of the areas that I touch on like the mind and body, the Quantum Field, Meditation and more, a lot of these are topics, subjects in themselves, this book is a HOW TO.
All the information that I give you is a pathway to take action. The steps at the end of the book will bring all the information together you will have no excuse not to begin to change your life.
For some that sounds a bit frightening at times because you think, "Oh, gosh. I won't be this person..."
There will be nothing to hide behind.
There'll be nothing.
You will have sole responsibility for your life and your future you will not be able to blame another person for anything that happens to you from here on in.
When I say to you that "You create your own reality," you will have a knee jerk reaction, the little voice in your head that loves talking will start, “that’s not true, what about so and so, look what they did” “I have no control over what others do, it’s not my fault etc, etc.
Are you getting the picture?
Really getting that we create our own reality takes time to come to terms with. When you do finally get this, your life will change so much that it will be unrecognisable.
When a wife is married to her husband and he gives her a whack. The first whack, the first hit, guess what. It's his fault. If he does it again, it's yours. You have no excuse. When you finish this book, you have no excuse.
Of course, there is much more information, but that is for another time, not now.
The body has much to tell, as a matter of fact I could rattle on for hours about how the cells work, our genes, all the systems in the body, the backup systems, where we store information, how do we store information, how big an impact our environment has on us and the list goes on.
That's not my job.
My job, is to lead you down this adventure, this journey, of this life and how you can make that better, because you can.
That's the good news, which you don't get in many places.
The good news is you can make your life amazing.
